Duration
Lift Each Other Up is a 4-hour program. One hour of pre-workshop learning is required (includes videos, readings and a brief comprehension quiz).
Options
Lift Each Other Up is facilitated as an in-person or virtual session.
Workbook
Virtual sessions – participants will receive a comprehensive workshop manual (PDF) a few days before the workshop begins.
In-person sessions – participants will receive a comprehensive paper workshop manual on the day of the in-person workshop.

Lift Each Other Up will help you recognize when inappropriate behaviour happens and how to have a compassionate, empathic and helpful conversation with your colleague, friend or family member who is being impacted.
Who is this program for?
All staff, including supervisors and managers.
Learn how empathy and acts of caring and kindness can make a huge impact in someone’s life. Learn the importance of creating a safe space for dialogue and the key elements of being a conscious, empathic listener.
Understand how to use the three Lift Each Other Up questions in a conversation about bullying, harassment or disrespectful behaviour and when it’s important to engage the help of your Human Resources team and/or to report a bullying incident.
We will explore
- How kindness, caring and treating people with respect makes a profound difference;
- How to be an empathic listener;
- The importance of having clear, professional boundaries when supporting a colleague;
- How to recognize the ten types of bullying;
- The three Lift Each Other Up questions;
- Examples of empathic, caring responses to the Lift Each Other Up questions;
- How to approach a colleague and use the three Lift Each Other Up questions in a conversation;
- How to have a Lift Each Other Up conversation;
- Your role and responsibility as a champion of respectful workplace behaviour; and
- When it’s important to engage the help of your Human Resources team and/or to report a bullying incident.
